Description

This 1/48-scale plastic model kit lets you build a detailed Lockheed P-38 Lightning with options to depict the F or G variant. When completed, the model forms a parked aircraft display that captures the twin-boom design and cockpit layout of this famous WWII fighter.

Designed for display modeling, the kit includes two marking options, a canopy that can be assembled open or closed, parts to recreate two 150-gallon and two 300-gallon drop tanks, a detailed cockpit with wheel-type controls, radio and throttle box, mirror stickers to reproduce cockpit mirrors and engine cowling interiors, a full-color painting guide, and weights to ensure proper balance for a stable display.
